Overview

The radio, audio & podcasting industry is growing rapidly, and it's not slowing down. If you want to build a successful career in podcasting, radio and/or DJing, then this course is for you. You will be following in the footsteps of our alumni by learning a wide range of DJ techniques, from essentials including beat matching, EQ-ing, and harmonic mixing to more creative techniques including acapella mixing, effects, scratching, building your brand and much more.

• Payment in Full: £7,995 (saving £1,160 over monthly instalments)
• Registration Fee + Termly Payments: £200 registration fee + £2,895 per term (saving £270 over monthly instalments)

Term 1

• Radio Broadcasting: Learn the fundamentals of radio broadcasting, including studio operations, audio production, and on-air presentation.
• The Radio & Audio Industry: Understand the radio and audio industry, including its history, current trends, and future developments.
• Essential DJ Skills: Develop essential DJ skills, including beat matching, EQ-ing, and harmonic mixing.

Term 2

• Presenting: Learn the art of presenting, including scriptwriting, interviewing, and on-air presentation.
• Radio & Audio Production: Develop skills in radio and audio production, including audio editing, mixing, and mastering.
• Creative DJ Skills: Learn creative DJ techniques, including acapella mixing, effects, and scratching.

Term 3

• Radio & Audio Branding: Understand the importance of branding in radio and audio, including creating a personal brand and promoting your work.
• Podcasting: Learn the fundamentals of podcasting, including planning, recording, and editing a podcast.
• Advanced DJ Skills: Develop advanced DJ skills, including building your brand and promoting your work.

FAQ

• I am an International Student. How do I apply?
  • For courses longer than 6 months, you will be required to apply for a Student Visa. pointblank is able to sponsor you on a Student Visa for degree programmes.
  • For courses of 6 months or less, you may need to apply for a Standard Visitor Visa.
• Do I need to buy software & equipment to take the course?
  • Depending on your programme, certain hardware and software will be essential throughout your studies.
  • You will need to have access to this equipment outside of the campus.
• What is my weekly study schedule?
  • Each module requires your attendance at one class which will be 3 or 4 hours long depending on the module.
  • You will also have two 30-minute tutorials with your lecturer per module per term for additional support.
